Leaders gathered at the Museum of Contemporary Art to celebrate 10 years of philanthropy by the Packer Family Foundation that has donated $100 million in that time.

Matt Noffs was interviewed on stage by Peter Overton following an address by the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and followed by a speech by Peter Dutton. Noffs thanked the Packer Foundation for its financial support that helped set up the Mt Druitt Street University over a decade ago.

When asked to speak about the impact of that support, Mr Noffs said, ‘The bonuses, they’ve been investing in is a reduction in problematic drug use … the reduction in criminality in these communities in Mount Druitt and the reduction in suicide ideation.’

Noffs also spoke on the power of creativity and how it was the secret ingredient to helping disadvantaged young people alongside evidence-based treatment.

The event was hosted by Gretel Packer and the Packer Family who have supported Ted Noffs Foundation’s Street Universities for over a decade.
