666 ABC Canberra reports that construction of the $49 million Watson Health Precinct is being completed, with services to be offered from next month. The precinct will include a new 24-bed residential rehabilitation unit for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and a residential mental health care program, alongside Ted Noffs Foundation’s (Noffs) youth drug and alcohol rehabilitation service.
Noffs program director Lachlan Dean spoke with ABC Canberra’s Jennifer Sexton about the milestone. “It’s been a long journey, but this has been amazing to see it finally completed, and we’re very, very excited to move in and start offering treatment from this purpose-built facility,” he said.
