Mounties Got Talent 2014

Mounties is one of the largest clubs in NSW and is located just 5 minutes from the heart of Liverpool. They’re also a major player on the sporting front and have an enormous 39 sub-clubs from cricket to netball and everything in-between. And being the humble guys that they are, they also donate over $5 million dollars each and every year to local sporting and community groups to promote good health and well-being. They run a number of competitions and events throughout the year, some of which The Street University can proudly say they have been involved in. The most recent Mounties competition, and the reason for this post, is called ‘Mounties Got Talent’ 2014.

As the name suggests, it's a search for the best local talent (12 years and over) and boasts a massive $8000 prize pool. The ‘talent’ is not restricted to the musical arts and can include comedians, contortionists and other ‘out-of-the-box’ entertainers. The Judges are Ben Robertson of the Robertson Brothers, R&B singer-songwriter Cosma De Vito, series one Australian Idol top three finalist and choreographer Jet from Kookies n Kream. We are so pleased that a number of our young people have made it through the audition process and are now heading to the heats, which are being held throughout June.

And on that note, we just want to give a massive shout out to the following performers and wish them the best of luck in the heats:

> Amos Setu
> The Pioneers Dance Crew
> Manu, Carniel, Archie & Mercy.
> Munzer
> Mark Manahan (The Pirates)
> Nive Namoa
> Jay Puaillo

And to those who unfortunately didn't progress through the auditions, just take away the experience and use it as a stepping stone to continue working on your skills. We know how hard you all work and hope that you continue to follow your dreams.
