Counselling for students – both individual and group – through appointments and group sessions at the school.
Skills Training – a six session brief intervention to increase skills in relapse prevention, increase skills for dealing with social pressure and increase social support .
Consultation with school staff to assist them to better manage student alcohol and other drug difficulties.
Support and counselling for parents/carers of students.
Aims of the TNFSCS:
To address alcohol and other drug issues.
To promote retention in school.
For those on suspension, to effect a return to school as soon as possible.
To equip students with the skills and resources they need to better manage their own lives.
